Position: Database & Technical Specialist
City: Seattle
What: The Washington Bankers Association (WBA) seeks a full time Database & Technical Specialist to join their Seattle-based office. The Association represents commercial banks operating in every county of the state, ranging in size from large multi-state financial institutions to smaller, family-owned and community-based banks.
Responsibilities: Database: Serve as the WBA’s primary database contact and manage database infrastructure including upgrades, updates and troubleshooting issues. Perform routine and customary operational and monitoring activities to ensure the database environment is capable and meeting ongoing Association needs. Work with staff to conduct database clean-up projects (i.e. searching for duplicate records and missing information, reviewing records for inconsistencies, verifying data, and updating titles and codes). Responsible for mail list management and maintenance. Support e-communications efforts including member list segmentation, setting up group lists and initiating mailings. Perform database queries and generate reports regularly and as needed. Serve as a liaison to database provider, participate in database trainings, and update/train staff as necessary. Develop, revise, and implement policies, standards, operational procedures, plans and guidelines necessary to effectively administer database environments
Website: Support the technical aspects of the design, development and launch of the WBA website. Serve as a liaison to website design firm/company as required. Provide ongoing technical website management including timely maintenance, troubleshooting, SEO, performance, overall site effectiveness, design upgrades, content updates and other technical aspects as necessary or required. Monitor site traffic, compile reports and optimize website analysis and tracking. Support website bridge to social marketing and networking opportunities including possible implementation of discussion groups podcasts, blogs, webcasts, video uploads, and more
Other Technical and Marketing Support: Responsible for generating an operations manual and accompanying manuals. Implement processes and identify repeatable efficiencies and solutions to ensure measurable results. Provide Smart phone support. Provide technical support to the office and staff as required.
Requirements: Education and Experience
Preferred BS in computer science or related technology field, or three or more years experience with database and website management.
Experience with association management software highly desired.
Knowledge of Excel formulas, Outlook, and experience in using report writers such as Crystal Reports preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Experience with databases and technical office support
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign or other desktop publishing software
