Position: Web Developer
Where: Mount Vernon, WA
What: Wind-Up Studios is a design and development company building web sites, mobile sites, applications, Facebook pages, social applications, e-commerce sites, landing pages, and whatever else dreamed up by clients. Our office is in Mount Vernon on College Way. (www.windupstudios.com)
We are looking for a web developer who loves code as much as we do and thinks good code is as beautiful as the design in front of it. We would prefer someone who is able to come into the office 3 or 4 days a week and can telecommute the others, but we won’t rule you out if you are a perfect fit and can be available by skype or similar.
There is lots of growth happening right now and we are looking for really motivated individuals ready to dive-in and impress us with their nimble minds and numb-chuck coding skills!
This is a contract position to start and can quickly grow into permanent if the shoe fits. We have several projects already committed on so are looking to move really quickly.
Responsibilities: Build web sites, applications, facebook applications, mobile sites, and e-commerce. Develop optimized, cross-platform front-ends in CSS/XHTML/Javascript. Collaborate with interactive design manager to increase feature rich web sites or applications. Keep up on latest trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements: You: are self-motivated, love a good challenge and searching for creative answers to solving problems, work as a team member and help build the development team skill set, show ownership of work and strong inter-personal skills, are extremely detail-oriented self-started with a “get it done” attitude, are able to adapt quickly and respond effectively in high-pressure, multi-tasking situations, have 3+ years of web development experience, and have web server environment understanding for both Windows and Linux.

· Must demonstrate strong proficiency across a broad spectrum of technologies including:
o HTML / XHTML / HTML5
o CSS
o Javascript
o Microsoft Ajax Framework
o jQuery or other library experience a plus)
o .NET / SQL
o Visual Studio
o PHP / MySQL
o jQuery Mobile
Nice to haves:
· BA/BS degree or higher, preferably in CS
· Server management experience
· Ability to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
· Search Engine Optimization understanding of development side
· Flash experience
· Building video players

· XML
· Silverlight
· C#/C/C++
· ipad development experience
· Experience with CMS Systems: N2, WordPress, Expression Engine, Kentico (big plus)
· Experience with Ecommerce Platforms: AspDotNet Storefront, nopCommerce, Paypal, Magento, Shopify
