Position: Affiliate Marketing Strategist

Works in conjunction with the Affiliate Marketing Manager on campaign analysis, planning, execution, and management. Also work closely with affiliates and the network provider, internal creative/production teams, and merchants to execute placement and promotional strategies and execution. Responsibilities:
- Grows channel through business development with new and existing partners
- Attends affiliate marketing events and conferences. Engages underperforming affiliates
- Maintains and strengthens relationships with affiliates and network provider (LinkShare)
- Coordinates with in-house creative team for internal and external creative needs
- Coordinates with merchandising team to plan Affiliate offers
- Collaborates with key stakeholders/business owners to understand objectives of the campaign/project and target audience. Provides direction and counsel to stakeholders regarding campaigns and audiences in order to ensure the developed campaign reaches the desired audience. Collaborates with the Creative team to ensure the best campaign for the product of focus and to ensure anticipated results are being met
- Performs as first point of contact for affiliate campaign initiatives. Evaluates key indicators and identifies opportunities for improvements, and new venues, etc
- Researches affiliate campaigns to gain an understanding of the project objectives and the target audience. Formulates the strategy roadmap for the project. Implements findings to recommend items such as, geographical region, medium and suitable timeframe for the campaign. Ensures overall framework strategy is applied appropriately
- Analyzes campaign data information regarding campaign success/impact to see if impact created was successful or not successful
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years Marketing experience OR a High School Diploma / GED and at least 5 years Marketing experience
- Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
- Knowledge of ecommerce and current / emerging technologies on the Web
- Experience identifying operation issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
- Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office 2003 or later: Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (for example: formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering) and PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts)
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
