What: Razorfish is one of the largest interactive agencies in the world focusing exclusively on digital marketing and technology. The Vice President of Technology, Microsoft Account (VP) sets the bar for creating innovative technology solutions for Razorfish’s biggest client – Microsoft, serves as the primary technology external spokesperson, and is responsible for developing and publicly communicating the agency’s point of view on all issues pertaining to the current or future state of the digital marketplace and technical solutions.
Responsibilities: The VP actively participates in business development efforts and drives technical vision for the overall solution. The VP inspires our cross discipline teams and clients by articulating a clear vision. The VP will also be responsible for managing the delivery staff of Project Managers and QA staff.
This person builds bridges with other Razorfish disciplines to exchange innovative ideas, hone a collaborative approach, and solve our clients’ business problems. This person is enthusiastic and effective at business development, including the analysis of business problems and proposing innovative engineering solutions and/or making strategic technical recommendations for development solutions.
The VP also develops strong, sustainable relationships with senior clients at Microsoft. Ultimately, the VP is responsible for the overall direction, strength, profile, output, and excellence of the technology team, as well as the tone and quality of the interactions and collaborations with other disciplines within and outside the agency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or science/technology based discipline. MBA or relevant Master’s Degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience, at least 5 years in large-scale technology management (30+ people) at a digital agency
- Proven ability to develop technology solutions for a wide range of clients in the digital space that deliver results
- Deep experience with core development technologies including Object Oriented Programming, Microsoft Technology Stack, Social API, Mobile Development, Cloud Computing and Emerging Marketing technologies.
- Requirements Engineering: Working ability to perform requirements elicitation, requirements analysis using use case modeling, and requirements specification as a supporting member of the requirements team. Working ability to identify architecturally significant requirements and their ramifications
- Delivery Management: Working ability to set project schedules and deliverables, manage budgets and contracts.
- Application Architecture: Expert knowledge in software architecture principles.
- Comprehensive and expert knowledge of the interactive software development process
