Position: Product Copy Team Manager
Where: Seattle (SoDo)
What: The Head of Copy is expected to oversee the execution of daily product copy, working to maintain a singular brand voice across all customer-facing product pages. Owning the day-to-day operations, this role is responsible for creating a high production copy environment, focusing primarily on quality and optimizing productivity, while encouraging their team to be creative, innovative and exceptional. Responsibilities:
-Manage leads and teams of copywriters
-Be vigilant for ways to improve process ensuring that the copywriters spend less time on process — more on product
-Manage the team and its efforts to cost containment and improvement
-Review, teach and hold the standard for zulily’s voice in every product description, every page
Experience and qualifications:
-Managing large teams of editorial or creative members
-Past experience as a copywriter, editor
-Working in a daily release environment is a huge plus
-BA degree preferred — or additional equivalent work experience
-10+ years work experience
-Past achievements exhibiting improving process, managing costs and innovation
