Position: Senior Project Manager

What: Blue Nile is the largest online retailer of certified diamonds, engagement rings and fine jewelry. We are currently looking for a passionate and talented Sr. Project Manager who will plan and successfully execute website development projects. The Sr. Project Manager should expect to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying size and scope as well as participate in business analysis, solution design, quality assurance and end user training.
The Sr. Project Manager will own projects, starting with high-level ideas and successfully work with business and technology experts to define and document the project objectives, requirements, estimates and tasks in a deadline driven environment. The ability to track project details and communicate clear status to all parties involved is critical. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Sr. Project Manager will closely work across multiple business groups, including senior executives, coordinating with management, individual developers, and QA & release teams. On many projects the responsibilities will include hands-on project work including proposing and defining features in detail, driving consensus on those features, and assisting in the testing and release of the features.
To be successful in this position, one needs to be a motivated problem solver and must be naturally curious about all aspects of Blue Nile’s business operations. One must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and a desire to contribute directly to the success of the company.
Responsibilities:
•Seeded with sometimes loose project definitions, drive project scope, define requirements and necessary design changes, provide estimations and tasks in conjunction with business and technical teams.
•Plan and track schedules and deliverable in a production website environement
•Track, manage, and communicate status of multiple concurrent projects across multiple business units simultaneously.
•Dig into technical or business details and resolve gaps in capabilities, timelines, expectations, etc.
Qualifications:
•5+ year’s technical project management experience
•Experience with software development lifecycles with in a web environment
•Ability to understand business needs and translate into requirements
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
