Position: Freelance Contract Copywriter
Where: Pioneer Square, Seattle
What: Sesame Communications is the premier provider of online services for the dental industry. An emerging growth company, Sesame has steadily achieved substantial year-over-year growth, proving to be the category leader in digital Patient Connection Systems. We are actively seeking Freelance Contract Copywriter with proven experience in online production. This person is responsible for the daily copywriting needs, including but not limited to: SEO-friendly homepage text, patient-friendly bios, and custom content. The Copywriter has a working knowledge of current SEO practices and keeps abreast of the latest developments.
Responsibilities:
- Write compelling, SEO-friendly website text that adhere to the established voice of Sesame
- Complete assigned copywriting projects and manage multiple deadlines; Maintain Sesame copywriting content standards and be responsive to feedback
- Work with Content Developer to identify priorities
- Complete assigned copywriting projects
- Must be able to handle multiple projects at same time and deliver on-time
- Reporting of hours to Design Manager
Requirements:
- 4-year college education or equivalent in journalism/copywriting
- 1+ years of experience in online publishing as a copywriter
- Provide writing portfolio samples as requested
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to interpret data and write about it clearly in a consumer-friendly voice
- Strong internet skills, an understanding of writing for the web and a familiarity with basic HTML/CSS
- Excellent analytical skills, plus demonstrated ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Attention to detail is a must
- Skillful problem solver, independent, and resourceful
- Flexible and adaptable working style and comfortable working under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) a plus
This is FREELANCE CONTRACT work paid at $20 per hour. You will be working on your own equipment from your own location and provide us with time records and invoices for payment. The amount of work you get from us is determined by the quality and efficiency of your projects.
