Position: Bus Dev Manager
Where: Seattle (Pioneer Square)
What: Rover.com, a fun new pet services startup backed by Madrona Ventures, is looking for a smart and aggressive Bus Dev manager. We’ve created the country’s leading platform for the dog sitting marketplace–a ~$7 billion market in the U.S. in 2011, and expect to have continued rapid growth in the months to come.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with uncovering innovative Bus Dev partners and opportunities; assist with closing partnership deals
- Conceive, design, implement, and track successful demand- generation & marketing programs
- Account Management: assist with tracking/managing/implementing Rover’s contractual obligations with our current and future partners
- Work with our marketing team to help create and build partner marketing content
- Assist in the design/development /implementation of our Sit a Dog, Save a Life charity partner program
- Become a Rover product expert; assist with brainstorming new features for partners, dog sitters, and consumers
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in Bus Dev or Product Marketing Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills
- Strong negotiation skills and background preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees
- Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
- Proven leadership, problem solving, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast- paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
- Street smarts and willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
