Responsibilites: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting BCI marketing account managers with strategic planning, grant writing, reports, program management, client presentations, and financial administration. The position also involves assisting with research projects and other support as needed.
Requirements: Candidates must have an understanding of marketing principles and possess very strong writing and organizational skills. In addition, candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects. Over time, domestic and international travel is likely to be a component of the position. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. A college degree is required, with a preference for degrees in international business, economics, marketing, or international relations. Experience in the field of marketing and/or proficiency in a foreign language will be looked upon favorably. Much of BCI’s international marketing client work is funded by federal and state grant programs including the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Market Access Program (MAP), Emerging Markets Program, Value-Added Producer Grant program (VAPG), and state block grants. Familiarity with grant writing is a plus.
