Position: Senior UX Designer

What: Avvo.com is building new and innovative products that help consumers find the right lawyer. They’re seeking a senior UX designer who is passionate about shaping the best possible user experiences for desktop Web, iPhone and iPad. Requirements:
- Driven by evidence and have a strong ability to formulate falsifiable hypotheses, craft experiments, validate, and iterate (the “lean UX” approach).
- Very comfortable being the design lead on key projects and to rock as a team member.
- An advanced understanding of user-centered design, usability, as well as aesthetic design principles.
- Open-minded and love working with a “blank canvas” of ideas in addition to evolving existing products.
- Experience designing within the technical constraints of desktop Web and mobile devices.
- Fluent in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and other web scripting languages.
- Experience designing with fluid grid systems and front-end frameworks.
- Ability to communicate your ideas through sketches of concepts and scenarios.
- Examples of taking projects from early ideation to execution.
- Diverse and deep experience with a variety of products and platforms (Web, iPhone, iPad, etc.).
- Ability to create beautiful designs by leveraging advanced knowledge of grid systems, layout and composition, color theory, typography, illustration, and use of photography.
- Experience designing elegant interaction states and transitions.
