What: Seeking a visionary UI leader. In your last position were you in charge of the UI but saddled with an implementation that constrained your ambition? Had the vision but no time or resources? On your first day do you start by asking why your CSS is not managed with LESS/Sass or why your JavaScript to not strongly typed? Did you die a little when your peer wrote their own JavaScript calendar control? Or maybe you have finally conquered that beast and are looking for another. If you answered yes, yes, yes, YES! As the UI Software Developer you will be taking the lead in laying the UI foundation for the next version of Array’s products as they break away from an aging codebase built with yesterday’s technologies. Deep understanding in both architecture and implementation is a must as you will be setting direction and educating others in best practices while leading by example. You will be working closely with a Program Manager and Developer to take their effort to something worthy of your calling card.
Responsibilities:
• Work hand-in-hand with the UX designer to bring a shared vision to life
• Ability to balance innovative approaches and flashy UIs with industry best practices
• Create MVC Views using JQueryUI, Twitter Bootstrap, and Knockout
• Ability to manage CSS with SASS or LESS
• Work with product managers to solidify future features
• Comfortable being a resident UI expert
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in front end web development
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Mastery of CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
• A passion for what you do and enough drive to take us with you
