Position: Web Production Artist
Where: Seattle-Pioneer Square
Primarily Responsibilities:
- Assist Designers with the production and optimization of emails, landing pages, website pages and all other digital creative assets
- Display a professional understanding of digital processes and assets required to support identity and brand development, design concept, layout, typography, packaging, and on-screen presentations.
- Adhere to established schedules and budgets and continually work within agreed-upon parameters, alerting the project manager, Director and/or team in advance when issues arise
- Collaborate with Developers on all projects and web production in general Produce graphics and images and flash assets, and fill in the gaps when needed
- Optimize Photoshop and Illustrator files for developers
- Retouch images and photographs
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues as needed
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Act as a brand steward for Tether, recognizing and identifying new directions that can continually evolve and enrich our studio
- Work with your creative teams to continually educate and elevate the level of design by initiating dialogue and constructive critique
- Keep an open dialogue with your manager regarding new resources and directions that would help productivity studio-wide
- Support and participate in studio efforts and initiatives
- Understand your impact as a leader in the studio and continually work to promote a positive environment
- Continually work to improve your skills in leadership, design, production, organization and communication including both verbal and written forms
- Always arrive prepared and on time to meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in digital production, computer science, design or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of professional web design; experience working in a creative department or design studio is a plus
- Have a deep understanding of how basic design principles (typography, colors and layout) are applied to the web
- Understanding of marketing and branding initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding schedules and new direction
- A superior team player who wants to produce the best websites in the world and is hungry to learn and work with others to do so
- Ability to work on multiple projects and communicate clearly on status
- Strong attention to details and ability to detect design issues with artwork provided
- Always strive for pixel perfection
- Familiarity with all aspects of web design including branding, usability, code, and related technologies
- Basic understanding of CMS and managed content (WordPress)
- Basic familiarity with front end development and eagerness to learn more
- Must be fluent in HTML, Phototshop, and Illustrator
- Experience with Adobe Flash desired
