Position: Web Graphic Designer
Where: Seattle
What: The Web Graphic Designer, Product Management is responsible for the visual design of Virtuoso’s technology products user interface under the direction of the Director, Product Management. This position is temporary (6 to 12 months)
Responsibilities:
1. Visual design of user interface for Virtuoso’s technology products by producing comps based on products and features being developed by the Product Management team.
2. Collaborates with the Product Management team to produce comps, optimize/slice web images, and create icons and buttons that will be used for the development of new features and products developed by the Engineering Team.
3. Design, layout and production of comps, using style guide and guidelines defined by the Product Team’s user interface/user experience team.
4. Reviews and corrects comps by deadlines defined by the Product Management team.
5. Adheres to Sprint schedules, meets deadlines and ensures that comps meet specifications defined by the Product Team.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in art, design, marketing, advertising or related field
• 3-5 years web graphic design experience.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator and familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite software. Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus.
• Solid understanding of design theory, including color, typography and composition.
• Ability to quickly come up with ideas and solutions while considering end-user experience and current technology limitations.
• Experience in both B2B and B2C online application graphic design.
• Experience in designing for both traditional and mobile browsers, and mobile form factors.
• Experience in designing web platforms for global audiences.
• Personable, professional, team player with excellent communication skills
• Experience working with technology team, good working knowledge of current user interface design and implementation.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline-driven environment.
• Scrum and/or Agile teamwork experience desired
