Position: SEO Project Lead
Where: Seattle
What: The SEO Project Lead will take charge of the Moz in-house SEO program, including driving strategy for increased traffic and visibility, technical and on-site SEO enhancements, content marketing, off-site visibility and brand building.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute the SEO strategy across moz.com and other Moz-owned web properties
- Be a source of SEO subject matter expertise for the Product, Marketing and Help teams as needed
- Create and execute SEO projects, such as experiments and creating resources to help online marketers.
- Create and manage SEO related content projects
- Work with content writers and managers to inform content strategy for SEO
- Maintain and enhance the technical integrity of on-site SEO by working closely with the Inbound Engineering Team
- Provide SEO direction and execute SEO-related tasks for large site projects such as domain migrations or new site acquisitions
- Work with content, community and PR teams to promote content and the Moz brand through outreach, social media and press
- Stay abreast of industry trends to inform the SEO strategy; communicate these trends to the larger organization as the Moz community
- Be a voice of thought leadership and brand evangelism in the SEO industry through social media, networking and blogging
- Create regular SEO-focused blog posts on the Moz blog
- Monitor and report on SEO success metrics for Moz.com and related sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or a really good reason for not having one (believe us there’s plenty!)
- Minimum 4 years of experience creating and executing SEO strategy
- Proficiency with Google Analytics, and other web analytics software
- Basic knowledge of HTML and website technologies. You can build a webpage or launch a simple website with ease
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan and implement content marketing campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to use SEO to drive site traffic and increase ROI
- A history of creating compelling, sharable content
- A passion for SEO that leads you to continually scan blogs, tweets and shares to stay on top of the next big thing
- An ability to work independently combined with strong collaboration skills
- Strong time-management skills; must be able to create tasks and set and meet deadlines with little direction
- An analytical mind that can not only pull insights from large data sets but also clearly communicate them in an email, presentation or blog post
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
