Position: Creative Director

What: RealSelf empowers consumers to connect, share, and help others. You will play a critical role in building and leading a design team to create a beautiful, intuitive user experience for millions of users across the globe. This full-time position reports to the VP, Product at our Seattle offices.
Responsibilities:
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of UX and visual designers
• Create consistent and cohesive experiences across Web, mobile, and brand/marketing
• Have a solid understanding of technical design constraints
• Lead design reviews and discuss decisions and tradeoffs in an open forum
• Collaborate with PM, Analytics, and Engineering to turn strategic product vision into creative, delightful UX
• Be a “player coach” and be willing get your hands dirty while leading the team
• Utilize AB testing to drive continual improvements to the site experience
Requirements:
• The unique designer who is equally obsessed with visuals and business outcomes
• Able to operate at conceptual levels but also loves hands-on pixel polishing
• Experienced in designing and shipping interfaces for mobile-first users
• Experienced in multi-language / localized products
• A curious and critical thinker, able to articulate complex ideas with humility and humor
• Experienced in being hands-on with users by leveraging feedback and user testing for guiding design decisions
• Have worked with Agile development teams and understand how UX fits in the agile development workflow
• Have experience in building and maintaining pattern libraries in a responsive web product
• An experienced manager with 7-10 years of web and mobile UX experience
• A U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to work full time in our Seattle office
