Position: Marketing Operations/User Acquisition

What: We are currently looking for a self-motivated consumer advocate with exceptional project management skills to fill a key role within the Consumer Insights Team. The User Experience (UX) Researcher I conducts Usability and Game Play Testing Sessions with consumers in our research lab and provides qualitative post-research reports for stakeholders. This role requires organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and creativity.

Requirements: 

Design and conduct user research studies for mobile Free-to-Play, mobile Premium, and Premium PC games.

Work closely with key stakeholders and partner researchers to understand product goals and strategies, and develop complementary research plans that will impact product design and quality.

Communicate research findings to stakeholders verbally, in written reports, and in game team presentations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain the flow of work that helps support numerous departments within the company

Manage the research lab schedule

Manage the recruitment of local gamers to come in for Usability and Game Play Testing sessions

Conduct PC and Mobile Game Usability and Game Play Testing sessions as well as one-on-one interviews with game players

Provide detailed, insightful feedback reports qualitatively summarizing play testing sessions and game tester interviews for key stakeholders

Maintain high efficiency standards and low turn-around times

Identify ways to improve the quality of research and play testing/usability feedback

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in behavioral or social sciences, including psychology (experimental, social, cognitive, etc.), human computer interaction, human factors, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience preferred.

1-2 years of qualitative research experience with one-on-one interview skills preferred

Demonstrated experience on leading at least one user research, human factors or participatory design project in an academic or industry setting.

Interest in games, game design and free to play economies

High degree of interest in quantitative and qualitative research as applied to gaming

Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills with proven problem-solving abilities

Expertise in research design, fluent in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies (e.g. field studies, interviewing, questionnaire development and survey research, usability studies and UX research)

Ability to quickly and effectively analyze and present data

Ability to develop creative approaches to researching complex user experience problems

Bonus: working knowledge of quantitative methods of evaluation
