What: Are you a software developer looking for a job that really makes a difference? Interested in taking a lead role on a great project and helping to guide a team of junior staff? DESC is hiring a Lead Software Developer/Software Development Manager for our CHASERS project!
DESC serves Seattle’s most vulnerable homeless and formerly homeless adults and is one of the largest service providers in the region. For more than a decade, we have developed our CHASERS software to support our innovative work and philosophy. At present, CHASERS is used by 600+ staff on a daily basis and allows staff to coordinate services across more than 25 programs.
Responsibilities:
This position supervises three junior developers and two data-oriented/reporting staff and provides guidance around code development and data architecture while also sharing in the coding and database workload.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of relevant technical experience and 2 years of programming experience, plus a year of supervisory experience. We primarily use PHP and PostgreSQL, but experience with similar technologies and an interest in learning are okay too.
