Position: Software Development Engineer

What: Sesame Communications, a division of Internet Brands, is looking for a talented SDET to join our Quality Assurance team to design, build and execute a comprehensive set of tools and tests for our cloud-based SaaS software platform. Your focus will be on creating optimized test suites and automating them to provide repeatable, automated test coverage in an open-source environment. You’ll work with tools for Java and Linux, and Amazon’s Web Services (AWS) cloud services. Responsibilities:
- Participate in building and reviewing functional and design specs for the product
- Planning, design and building/coding of automated tests, test cases and tools
- Assembling and maintaining test data sets and environments locally and in the cloud
- Integration and system-level testing of web applications in the cloud
- Bug investigation and reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience
- Deep understanding of Quality Assurance and software testing methodologies
- Minimum of 2 years testing software in a mid-size to large production setting
- Experience building automated test suites
- Java, C#, C++ or equivalent coding experience
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Scripting ability (Perl, Ruby, bash, etc.)
- Linux systems
- Experience working with AWS
- Database knowledge, particularly with MySQL
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools (i.e. Jira)
- Familiarity with automated load testing tools
