We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to work in our Engineering Group located in Seattle, WA.

In this role you will work in a highly collaborative environment with the team of developers responsible for the entire Leafly product suite. As a Sr. Software Engineer you will be a key player in solving complex business problems for our users and customers, while also helping set the technical and cultural direction for the entire team. Your strain will be a hybrid between coding ninja and coding mentor. Do you excel at developing great software? Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop exciting new features that reach a large audience that loves our products
  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify new features and service enhancements that drive business value
  • Deliver creative, high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions
  • Lead analysis, development, testing, and deployment of complex web and mobile applications
  • Ensure high quality deliverables with strong SDLC practices: design & code reviews, prototyping, multi-level testing
  • Work with fellow engineers to develop project estimates, outline necessary tasks and schedules, and demo new features
  • Mentor other developers and foster a collaborative environment of shared growth & learning

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of developing software in a professional team setting using Agile methodologies
  • Expert understanding of object oriented design principles and experience applying to large-scale solutions (C# / .NET preferred)
  • Experience with latest web technologies, tools, and practices: AngularJS, HTML5, CSS & CSS-Frameworks such as Sass / Less
  • Experience developing & supporting high-scale and performant web applications in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Comfortable working at all layers: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web services, API Integration, SQL & NoSQL storage
  • Understands multi-platform development: responsive design, cross-browser support, PhoneGAP, Cordova or similar HTML5 to mobile framework Android and/or iOS native experience a plus
  • Passionate about learning: ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies & tools to fill knowledge gaps
  • Takes ownership of technology: strives to improve software and processes, keeps a watchful eye on operational metrics
  • Communicate effectively with both teammates and non-technical roles in a highly collaborative team environment
  • BS degree in Computer Science / Engineering or similar field
