Position: UI Designer

We provide next generation data encryption and optimization solutions for the connected world. Our software helps organizations secure what matters most — their data — by seamlessly integrating into their existing applications and services in the cloud, data centers or mobile devices and the Internet of Things.
We are looking for a talented UI Designer to work on some design projects for us on a contract basis. Our ideal candidate has solid UI design skills, a modern, clean aesthetic and the ability to work successfully with our small, swift product engineering team. The role would be roughly 40 hours per week for 2-3 months (until project completion).
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience — specifically our BitSmart product dashboards and configuration tools.
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to design roadblocks
Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
Requirements:
Proven UI experience on web based products
Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
