Position: Data Integration Developer/Analyst

Responsibilities:
Integration and Development
Works with the team to provide planning, analysis, design, implementation, and documentation of custom software integration that meets or exceeds assessed business needs in accordance with best practices and software development policies. Develops and modifies SQL, APIs, functions, programs, and stored procedures to export, transform, and load data. Builds simple imports/exports; makes system modifications; maps data; resolves and escalates integration issues; coordinates actions among users, operations staff, and outside vendors; documents operational procedures and data connections; troubleshoots data integrity issues.
Business Analysis
Consults with technical and non-technical users to determine business data and integration needs. Studies data systems and sources; defining, analyzing, and validating data models; identifying the relationships among data and data systems.
Maintenance / Support
Provides technical support for data, integrations and a variety of data systems. Responsible for data integrity, administration, and various levels of maintenance on these data systems. Maintains, upgrades, and supports existing enterprise software and integrations.
Code and Systems Testing
Validates data integration quality and data integrity by developing and executing test plans that include validation of data extract/transform operations, performance analysis, and coordination with end users.
Continuous Improvement
Stays current with industry best practices, development tools, and new technologies in enterprise application integration; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal and professional networks; participating in professional organizations. Incorporates new knowledge and ideas into strategy, policy and standards.
Data and System Security
Maintains awareness of security threats in the software industry; performs analysis and recommendations on how to protect organizational data; develops solutions to enforce security.

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
Skills include business needs analysis, software and database design, programming, security administration, testing, documentation, technical user support and the implementation, administration and support of enterprise applications. Experience with relational database management systems (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar), database languages (SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL or similar), programming/scripting languages (Java, .NET, Perl, PowerShell or similar) and ETL/API data transmissions methods (CSV, XML, JSON or similar); experience with multiple operating systems (including Unix, Linux, Windows); strong ability to learn new technologies. Ability to follow best practices and standards.

Experience Extensive experience with relational database management systems and data structures; familiarity with systems integration techniques, API development, SOA, and ESB concepts; strong understanding of SQL query optimization tools and techniques and ability to resolve integration performance issues; basic understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts and methodologies; knowledge of ETL, reporting and data presentation methods;
Licensure/Certification Oracle Database or MS SQL Server certification desired
Software And Equipment Experience with Atlassian development products is a plus
