Responsibilities:
Expeditors exchanges over 35 million Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages each month with our customers, service providers and government agencies. EDI provides tremendous business value. The EDI Developer creates and maintains EDI based business translations that exchange electronic messages with internal and external systems. You will be part of a team that is responsible for analyzing, testing, installing, and supporting this business critical information.
Requirements:
– Solid programming skills, knowledge, and experience
– Understanding of database structures and data relationships
– Ability to design creative solutions to meet client’s business and technical needs
– Customer service-oriented attitude and top-notch time management
– Programming experience: 4 year degree or minimum of 1 year professional experience
– EDI knowledge (ANSI, EDIFACT, & RosettaNet standards)
– Understanding of the transportation/logistics industry
– Experience with SQL
– webMethods development experience is a strong plus
