Position: Director of Acquisition
Where: Seattle
What: The Director of Acquisition will be responsible for rapidly growing the Distiller user base while maximizing user retention. This role will lead all of our paid acquisition, creative marketing, user acquisition & retention, and messaging campaigns. This role will rely heavily on data to make decisions, will research new avenues and strategies for acquiring new users, and will be highly organized and self motivated. This role will report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute on a multi-channel marketing strategy that quickly grows the Distiller user base and increases our retention metrics.
Make rapid data-driven decisions to continually grow our core metrics.
Design and execute all paid acquisition campaigns.
Craft comprehensive marketing campaigns that include creative, organic, content driven acquisition strategies in addition to paid campaigns.
Coordinate internally with community management, creative, and marketing teams to build strong, long-running campaigns that fit the Distiller brand.
Analyze results and report back to the company on success and challenges as you strive to hit our goal metrics.
Requirements:
5+ Years in digital marketing, audience engagement, and user acquisition, preferably with early stage startup experience.
Experience scaling user bases and retaining existing users through a variety of online as well as offline channels.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with Mixpanel, Localytics, and Google Analytics, or similar products.
Experience creating, managing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns.
Experience leading social media strategy across a wide variety of channels to help support marketing campaigns.
Ability to be self-motivated and self-starting on a small early-stage startup team.
Appreciation for distilled spirits and the spirits marketplace.
Highly organized and motivated with the ability to think and act quickly based upon successes and failures.
Strong presentation skills in order to report back on progress to the company.
Experience in some sector of the beer/wine/spirits industry a huge plus.
