Position: Senior UX Designer

Responsibilities:
- Research and get insight from user feedback, user simulation, and analytics
- Regularly investigate and evaluate competitor experiences
- Find opportunities to grow and improve Bonanza’s products and services
- Develop scenario-based sketches, user flows, and wireframes
- Create design patterns, styles guides, and custom graphics that support a cohesive visual design language
- Design layouts and interactions that work well across devices
- Present designs and articulate decisions to CEO and key stakeholders
- Provide constructive feedback to designers, developers, and marketers
- Collaborate with development team to implement designs and interactions
- Build simple working prototypes using HTML/CSS or prototyping software
- Plan and write announcements for new site features
- Document and refine processes as team grows
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a digital designer and/or design director
- Experience managing a design team or acting as a design lead
- Portfolio showing expertise in UI design, aesthetics, and problem solving
- Strong command of user-centered design processes and methods
- Deep understanding of usability standards for web and mobile interactions
- Proficiency with Creative Suite, HTML/CSS, and prototyping applications
- Ability to produce great work, either by designing or directing others
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a “get *stuff* done” approach to work
- Positive attitude and a sense of humor
- Conducting user research and user testing
- Doing front-end development or full-stack programming
- Working in a digital agency or startup environment
- Writing copy, blog posts, or feature articles
