Responsibilities: 

The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for building a data processing pipeline in that collects, connects, centralizes, and curates data from various internal and external data sources. This role is pivotal to the mission and vision of Enterprise Analytics to transform healthcare for children. You must be able to architect highly scalable and reliable data engineering solutions for moving data efficiently across systems; design, implement, test and deploy data processing infrastructure; take ownership and get things done in an Agile team setting; and break down, estimate and provide just-in-time design for small increments of work.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience/technical training that demonstrates analytical and technical competency
– Minimum of seven (7) years industry-related experience, to include:
– Three (3) yearsbuilding out highly scalable, scaled-out architectures on MPP platform or similar big data solution
– Two (2) years experience working in a complex data infrastructure environment
– Experience in a technical lead position on a development team supporting integrated data solutions for a wide range of customer groups or three (3) years in a senior data engineering role.
– ETL development experience – Advanced competency in SQL with ability to optimize and mentor others
– Experience leading full development life cycle management, including requirements, analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment and technical support. – Experience with data modeling
– Experience creating stored procedures
– Minimum three (3) years of related work in a healthcare environment
– Minimum two (2) years of data science experience using R, SAS, Python, SPSS, etc
– Scrum Master certification
