Position: Senior Software Engineer (ProductStream)

Responsibilities:
CommerceHub is building a new team in our Seattle,WA office to collaborate with engineers in Clifton Park, NY on our ProductStream Retail product. We’re looking for talented developers who love to work with new technologies and have experience to boot. This position is unique in that you’ll be working from our Seattle office with an established team headquartered in New York. This person must be comfortable working with a teams in different locations and should have strong communication skills.
Working with a collocated team as well as a remote team to develop a compelling retail product
Full-stack web development: from micro services to single-page web applications
Transforming business requirements and UX mock-ups into high-quality software solutions
Building, testing, deploying and maintaining web applications and infrastructure (we practice DevQaOps: Development, QA and Ops are all handled by our engineers)
Collaborating with architects and other technology leaders to help drive the direction of technology within the team and the company
Embracing a culture of continual learning and quality across the organization
Developing “greenfield” applications and services as well as updating our existing offerings
Introducing new ideas to both teams and the company
Participating in design discussions and communicating regularly to improve the team and the product
Requirements:
5+ years in a development role
Should have strong roots in a Java environment
Understanding of internet application architecture, including web services, database technologies, and SOA/Micro Services architecture
Passion for creating and maintaining excellent services, with a strong understanding of what it takes to run a mission critical, 24×7 service with high availability
Experience with Continuous Delivery techniques and tools a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities
Passion, resourcefulness, and dedication are a must to succeed
Bonus skills: experience with Groovy, Dropwizard, MongoDB, React JS, Solr, Chef, AWS, Spock or Grails
