Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture activities for the Cloud Platform.
Promote advances in our cloud products’ architectures.
Design complex product features.
Create high-level and detailed design documents.
Drive product roadmap.
Integrate with and develop a wide range of cloud technologies.
Lead key corporate technology initiatives for our cloud platform.
Collaborate and communicate with cross-disciplinary teams.
Exemplify good design practice for complex features, which may require extensive research and analysis.
Communicate effectively with all members of the organization up to and including the CEO.
Drive the vision of the platform, mentoring the team on the best engineering practice and actively participating in the hiring process.
Team building will be expected.
Champion the most effective means to develop, test, deploy and continuously enhance the Cloud Platform.
Requirements:
MS/CS Degree or equivalent is required, PhD/CS is preferable.
10+ years engineering leadership experience that includes large, cross disciplinary, at times virtual, engineering organizations of greater than 20 people.
7+ years designing and developing cloud-based applications, service oriented architectures and systems.
5+ years of exceptional, proven leadership in designing, developing and deploying commercial software products.
3+ years at leveraging big data analytics to drive product roadmap.
Record of significant technology influence over a commercial software product line and a record of driving corporate technology initiatives on behalf of senior management.
Skilled at agile engineering methods and communication strategies.
Excellent object-oriented design and software development skills.
Expert knowledge in Linux and at least one RDBMS.
Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
Experience with natural language understanding and / or speech recognition, iOS, Android, or embedded systems, IoT, micro-services, all a plus.
Excellent team player; creative, self-motivated, and exuding a positive attitude.
